As most of you know, Andover RDA provides riding therapy to adults and children with disabilities. As well as having lots of fun, our riders benefit enormously both physically and mentally and gain both confidence and a great sense of achievement.
Our charity is completely run by unpaid volunteers although we need to raise plenty of funds to maintain our ponies and provide transport for them.
We plan to send out occasional updates with news of our events and activities over the year.

On July 10th we moved two of our RDA ponies from St Mary Bourne to their new summer home in Stoke. We are very grateful to John and Catherine Scott for letting us use their lovely paddocks.
From the start of the Autumn term we will now be holding our four Tuesday and Wednesday RDA sessions in the Scott’s wonderful sand arena and we are so grateful to them for giving us this opportunity.
A big thank you to Employee Volunteering for arranging for 25 delightful volunteers from Sanofi to help with the move. They all worked extremely hard and achieved an enormous amount in just a few hours which ensured that everything went smoothly with the minimum of stress to the ponies who are now very happy in their new home.

Fundraiser Walk - June
For our fundraising walk around St Mary Bourne in June our walkers were fortunate to have gorgeous weather and enjoyed a 5 mile walk through the beautiful countryside. Many thanks to all those who took part and to the organisers.

Fun Day - July
Our children and adult riders came together to participate in our annual Fun Day, kindly hosted by our president, Elizabeth Maclay, in Binley. All riders completed a Handy Pony course, competed in Gymkhana events and enjoyed a beautiful woodland ride. They had a wonderful time and received lots of rosettes. One rider commented that it was the best day of her life!

Dream Night at the Hawk Conservancy - July
Andover RDA were once again invited to offer their hugely popular rides at the annual Hawk Conservancy Dream Night for local children facing difficulties. As always, the rides were a big hit with all who took part.

Annual General Meeting - Wednesday 20th November, St Mary Bourne
Our AGM will start at 6.30pm. This year, the official business will be followed by an interesting and entertaining talk about Thelwell along with refreshments.
We look forward to seeing you there. Invitations will follow in the Autumn.
